THE WRITER'S HUT

Most writers will agree that peace, relaxation and a beautiful scenery all add up to bring inspiration and imagination to allow the creative juice-flow needed to pen a great book.

The Writer's Hut is a virtual retreat set in place by and for writers. This special "hut" serves as a shelter for literary artists to meet and talk about the craft of creating fictional and nonfictional works (poetry, plays and movies included) that are geared toward the African American community and beyond.

This website is affiliated with The Writer's Hut online Yahoo group and members are encouraged to chat often and to share their own experiences as aspiring, independently published or mainstream published writers. As much as possible, members are encouraged to stick to topics that relate in some way to the craft of writing or books in general. We find that staying focused on what really matters is not only a plus, but a MUST when embarking on a journey of emotional, dramatic and captivating creativity.
